Hi Glenda,

Yes, in many cases people lose hope. When that happens, I think you treat them like a drowning person: you offer them a life line, but don't try to grab them and drag them to safety because they'll likely pull you under.

Hi Glenda!

Sorry I couldn't join last night-- I was too busy pigging out on food! The hubby and I had a rare night out with a bunch of other deaf couples. Looks like a good conversation here!

Mike, interesting solution. Do you think that the disaster is ever too devastating or too overwhelming that some people just give up? And, if so, how do we reach them? Or, should we even try to reach them?

Glenda,

The solution takes one of two forms:

1) An imminent disaster for which the person has no solution

2) A sudden attack of inspiration to soar with the eagles

That's why it's hard to pull off; the window of opportunity is so narrow...

No problem, Mike. I was about to thank everyone for coming and to wish them luck in following their dreams.

I guess we're the two left coasters here too.

Rick,

It sounds like you're a little hemmed in for wind. Photovoltaics are improving, but they're really only viable in places like my home in Scottsdale.

Mike

P.S. I noticed you have The Science of Getting Rich as a free eBook on your site. You might also link to the audio version I just put up on the Internet Archive.
