Yes, I fondly remember my Guiding years and lessons learned and songs sung. “There’s a duty to be done and I say I…”…I don’t remember the rest.

Wow, you still remember “You Light Up My Life”? I had no idea…

Glenda… I have such fond and many memories of being a brownie & girl guide with you during our younger years. Memories of us going camping.. of you & your mom teaching us to sign “you light up my life”… oh, yes, I’m supposed to be asking a question… I’ve noticed (as I get older) that I recall many of the lessons I learned in Guiding have come back to assist me. Is it the same for you? I left when we were in Pathfinders… but you did leave a lasting impression on me & my mom.

How are you able to stay so busy with your extensive disability? Is it a matter of not accepting that you are significantly impaired? A high energy spirit? Your uplifting voice is just amazing.

Hi Glenda, I also am interested in hearing more about school. Did you have any difficulties learning to read? My daughter, Melanie, who has a little speech (which I call Melanese) seems to be struggling with reading. I attribute this to her inability to sound out words the way other kids do. She is only in first grade, so if you have any helpful hints that you could pass on, I would appreciate hearing them. Denise
