Thanks for the mention – you’re certainly somebody who I relate to very strongly. Since I can’t go to cons, I’ve never met any of those “high flyers” which is sort of funny because Darren Rowse lives about 30 minutes drive from me … you’ve met him and I haven’t!

Perhaps it’s because you’ve met them and I haven’t, but to me people in that league seem so far ahead of me that I can’t relate. Usually in life I pick somebody who’s a step or two ahead of me and try to emulate them, then I pick another person if I pass the first one. I don’t pick somebody who’s a huge long way ahead because they don’t seem “like me” enough, I guess. So yes, I pick you in a lot of my blogging goals as somebody I’d like to emulate – I’ve done some stuff that you haven’t done but you’ve also done a bunch of stuff I haven’t done (like publish e-books and YouTube videos!) so I’m trying to catch up in those areas

Also, I like you. I hope you come to a con in Melbourne, Australia, one day and can take the time out to visit me!!!
